Battle card tips – why Nodinite is a better option than Azure Monitor and Application Insights

We recently received a request from a partner about providing battle cards to help persuade their customers about reasons to use Nodinite together with Azure. If you, or your manager or even a customer are struggling to understand why Nodinite should be used when Azure Integration Services has all the tools needed to build an excellent monitoring tool, then keep these simple tips in mind:

  • Out of the box, plug and play, complete tool for Azure Integration Services (AIS)
  • End-to-end tracing
  • Integrated repository and flexible alerts
  • End-to-end monitoring with non-events monitoring
  • Role based access and democratization

If this is not enough, Nodinite comes at a fixed price for an unlimited number of users and usage!

Our favourite quote for October

Website changes to made to make it easier to find what you are looking for

There’s no need to spend wasteful time digging through the site for the information you want to read. Simply use the search function.

Is Nodinite something for your organization?

All companies want and need new customers. That is a given. Without new streams of revenues businesses will eventually wither and die. Nodinite is no exception. Yet we do stand out because we want to make sure that our tool is the right solution for future customers. We want a win-win for all parties.

This is why we are in the process of publishing a new page to help prospects understand if Nodinite is the right tool for their organization or not. Finding the right software solution is often a complex and time-consuming process. This new page is going to help prospects determine if, and to what extent, Nodinite can help them.

We expect to have this new page up and running before the end of October.

If you’re not visible out there, people won’t know that you exist

Our sales and marketing department are always on the lookout for new ideas and approaches to promote Nodinite. The team is small but we are nimble and able to move fast. In a red-hot market being agile is a necessity. With AI, competitors and constantly changing social media and Google criteria, marketing departments cannot afford to sit back.

Simply put – if you don’t market your company and unique selling points, you don’t exist in the mind of the average prospect because they likely won’t know about your existence. That is why it is vital to have a marketing budget and resources dedicated to marketing efforts.

Hence, we also encourage our partners, customers and friends to spread the word about Nodinite far and wide. We actively welcome word of mouth leads or individuals getting in touch because they want to learn more about Nodinit.

Fictional short story

Below is a short, and highly fictional, tale where Nodinite, a plucky, global do-gooder and overall superhero software tool, solves problems. Every month a new adventure will be included in each newsletter. The stories themselves are imaginary and are of course a not-so-subtle reference to how Nodinite’s tool helps organizations in the real world.

Why fixed cost software licenses often are cheaper than pay-as-you-go (PAYG) models

In the labyrinth of software licensing options, IT professionals and large businesses often face a critical decision between fixed cost and pay-as-you-go models. This choice isn’t just a matter of preference; it can significantly impact financial planning, operational efficiency, and overall business stability.

This was the difficult dilemma facing a multinational manufacturer seeking a new instrument to monitor and log system integrations. Initially, on the advice of an external solution architect familiar with one of the big names in the industry, they selected a pay-as-you-go API integration monitoring and logging tool.

It turned out to be a terrible decision, the costs rapidly spiralled into six-digit figures. In PAYG models’ costs can be based on usage metrics (e.g., number of users, features accessed, data processed etc).

Prices often appear cheaper initially but can escalate quickly.

Within a year both were gone. The external consultant had been sent packing. The company also discontinued using the monitoring and logging tool, although decent it was simply not financially viable. But, as is often the case, it was not possible to leave without a struggle as the vendor used a lock-in model.

Their in-house integration architect. Who had been dubious from the start about using the pay-as-you-go software tool, was asked by the CIO if he had any recommendations. “Why Nodinite of course. They have the best tool in the business for monitoring and logging of system integrations. Nodinite’s fixed license model also allows for unlimited number of users”.

So, it came to be that Nodinite was selected. The company never looked back from that day onwards. Costs were predictable and fixed, Nodinite had a no vendor lock-in model and an amazing customer support team!
