The Challenge: Limited Oversight of IBM Integrations

Skellefteå’s integrations were managed by a small specialized team inside a broad IT organization. Before Nodinite, the municipality lacked a reliable way to log and monitor IBM platform integrations, which made oversight difficult and created dependencies on external departments when failures occurred—problematic for fiduciary responsibilities and operational reliability. They also run integrations via Tietoevry TEIS, adding to the long-term need for unified observability across platforms.

The Solution: Centralized Monitoring, Logging, and Alerts with Nodinite

At the end of 2023, Skellefteå started using Nodinite to establish reliable integration monitoring and logging, including alert notifications when integrations fail. Today, Nodinite monitors approximately 20 integrations on the IBM platform, with a roadmap to increase coverage over time.

Looking ahead

Skellefteå’s long-term plan is to expand Nodinite from ~20 IBM integrations to include ~200 TEIS integrations and ~20 RPA processes, while also enabling more role-based access so additional teams (like support) can resolve basic issues independently.
